Tesla FSD (Supervised) Approved in Slovenia, Its Sixth EU Market

Tesla has added another country to its European Full Self-Driving map.

FSD (Supervised) is now approved in Slovenia, and Tesla says the customer rollout will begin soon.

That makes Slovenia the sixth European Union country to clear the system after the Netherlands, Lithuania, Estonia, Denmark and Belgium.

The announcement is brief, but the milestone is not. Tesla is moving through Europe country by country while the larger question of continent-wide access remains unsettled.

The word “Supervised” is doing essential work here. Tesla is not telling Slovenian owners that their cars have become autonomous.

The driver remains responsible, must stay attentive and must be ready to take over. The system can handle steering, acceleration, braking, lane changes, navigation and parking, but it still operates under active human supervision.

N1 Slovenia reported the announcement as a direct change for Tesla owners in the country, with the new function expected to become available soon. Its same-day coverage described FSD as a driving system that remains under the driver’s supervision, keeping legal responsibility with the person behind the wheel.

The local report also carried Tesla Europe’s announcement and placed Slovenia after the first wave of European approvals earlier this year. It did not claim that the software was already active on every eligible car.

Instead, it separated permission from delivery: Tesla announced the national clearance first, then said the software rollout would follow. Tesla’s post gives no exact download date, so Slovenian owners will still need to watch their vehicle software and Tesla app for actual availability.

The national approval also carried a direct message about Slovenia’s technology ambitions:

“Razvojna Slovenija” translates roughly as “development-oriented Slovenia.” The message puts a local government voice behind the clearance and frames it as a technology milestone with practical consequences for Tesla owners.

Tesla Slovenia’s FSD page describes a system that can take over many of the stressful parts of daily driving while the person behind the wheel remains in charge. Tesla says the software uses the company’s fleet data to handle complex real-world driving situations and receives continuing improvements through over-the-air updates.

The same page draws a bright line around the product’s current limits. Enabled features require active supervision, availability depends on regulatory approval and other local factors, and the system does not make the car autonomous.

That distinction will matter as the first Slovenian owners receive the update. A national approval tells Tesla it may offer the feature; it does not erase the driver’s duty to watch the road or guarantee that every Tesla in the country is eligible on day one.

Not an FSD Tracker places Slovenia sixth in the EU’s national approval sequence and separates this decision from any future EU-wide action. Its chronology begins with the Netherlands in April, followed by Lithuania and Estonia in May and Denmark and Belgium in June.

The tracker also notes that Tesla’s approval post did not publish a Slovenia-specific price, exact rollout date or hardware list. Those details will determine which owners receive access first and how quickly “approved” becomes “available” across the local fleet.

Country-by-country approvals are giving Tesla a working European footprint even before one continent-wide decision exists.

Each new approval puts FSD (Supervised) in front of more customers, more roads and more regulators. Slovenia is now part of that live test—and Tesla’s next task is turning a two-line announcement into software that owners can actually use.
